About Laura
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received a B.S. in Social Work in 1997, an M.A. in Teaching in 2001, and an M.A. in Counseling in 2021. I have many years of experience working with both adolescents and adults. But it is the year spent in the ICU with my son in 2005 that wields the most influential significance on my life and work today. That year I learned life is fragile, life is hard, and it often feels unfair. However, I also learned there is beauty to be had in community with others and compassion for myself. I imagine you've had your own share of hard life experiences.
As a therapist with an emphasis on grief and loss, coping with illness, experiencing loneliness, or any other stressful life transition, my role is to walk with you through this life experience. I will hold safe space for you as you uncover your own path forward, expanding your capacity to be in relationship with yourself and your lived experience.
I do not accept insurance at this time, however, I can provide a Superbill to clients to help with insurance reimbursement.
